The Bankstown City Council has recently announced a number of exciting new developments for the area.

In recent months, more that $160 million has been invested in local residential and commercial developments, with 622 new developments having been approved and more still on their way.

One of the major new developments includes plans for five multi-level residential buildings on the Hume Highway in Bankstown, which will include 100 new residential apartments.

The Bankstown Council also has its own development plans for the area. There will be a CBD property renewal program, which will be redeveloping five key sites, and the new and improved Bankstown Library and Knowledge Centre is about to open too.

Within the Bankstown City Council area, Bankstown has had the most development applications lodged (80) followed by Revesby (60) and Condell Park (47).
